Carrefour Brazil Launches Instituto!

The Instituto! Carrefour is a non-profit philanthropy body with the aim of promoting diversity and reducing social inequality in Brazil.

Instituto! Carrefour focuses specifically on raising people's awareness of human rights, promoting self-entrepreneurship through microloans and facilitating the professional integration of people of all backgrounds.

Additionally the Carrefour Foundation will fund several projects with a 100.000 Euro grant.

Selected projects must be related to food, they must be aimed at people suffering from segregation and exclusion, be located close to a Carrefour store and have a positive impact on the people and the community at regional or national level.

Carrefour's Instituto! wants to promote dialogue between the various groups in society and thereby create new opportunities and possibilities on the job market.

The non-profit will also help in setting up collaborations between NGO's, companies and public authorities in order to provide additional support to social projects.
