Coca-Cola Opens Canning Facility In Corsica

Coca-Cola has unveiled a new canning facility on the island of Corsica, following a €3 million investment. The new facility, situated in Furiani, Bastia, is capable of canning 10,000 products per hour.

It was developed in conjunction with the indigenous bottling and canning firm Socobo, which will operate the facility alongside Coca-Cola.

The packing firm has been doing business with Coca-Cola since 1969, although not on anything like the new scale. The agreement was reached with the CEO of Coca-Cola France, Imad Benmoussa, according to LSA.fr.

Socobo operates five logistic centres, located in Bastia, Ajaccio, Ile-Rousse, Calvi and Marseille. It has 250 employees and two other bottling plants.
