Ocado To Boost Pre-Christmas Workplace Numbers

UK online retailer Ocado has announced that it will be recruiting around 1,800 additional staff to work in its supply-chain, business support services, delivery and customer-services departments in the run-up to the busy Christmas period.

Chiefly, the business will be looking to recruit additional delivery drivers.

“We have been rapidly expanding our business across the country," said Ocado’s director of human resources, Julie Markey.

"Our new recruits, at all levels, will play a vital role in our business and will be the driving force behind our next stage of development, so it’s an exciting time to join us."

Recently, Ocado has been in discussions with retailers such as Carrefour in France and Safeway in the US about potential business tie-ups.
