Spanish Government To Invest €1.7 Million Promoting Dairy

The Spanish Ministry for Agriculture, Food and Environment and the Interprofesional Láctea (INLAC) have begun the second phase of their promotional campaign, "Lacteos de aquí cada día", (local dairy everyday), for which they have assigned an investment of €1.7 million.

According to financialfood.es of the total amount, €1 million was provided by the ministry with the remainder of €700,000 provided by INLAC.

The objective of the campaign is to promote the daily consumption of milk and dairy. The initiative showcases the variety of products available as part of a balanced diet, which also aims to support the stabilisation of the market.

This initiative is part of a plan by the ministry to ensure the stability and sustainability of the milk and dairy industry, according to an agreement signed on the 23 September 2015 between the industry and the dairy producers.

With this initiative, INLAC and the government have strengthened their relationship and their reach and it will allow both entities to undertake actions of major impact.
