Swiss Retailer Migros' Zuzwil Outlet Awarded With Energy Certificate

Swiss retailer Migros' Zuzwil outlet in Gossau has been named the group's first 'PlusEnergie' store in Switzerland. The store has been presented with the Swiss 'Solarpreis-/PlusEnergieBau-Diplom'.

Opened in November 2015, the store produces around 257,700 kilowatt hours per year with its building-integrated photovoltaics. This is equivalent to the average power usage of 65 four-person households in one year.

This in turn means that the store produces more energy than it needs itself. The solar electricity surplus is 28,145 kWh per year, a surplus that is passed back into the grid.
