Lenta Opens 26th Hypermarket In 2016

Russian retailer Lenta announced the opening of its 26th hypermarket of the year, located in Yaroslavl, on Thursday.

The compact format hypermarket will possess 9,333 square metres with 5,225 square metres of selling space. It offers 19,000 SKUs of Lenta's private label and federal product ranges, as well as local produce.

It holds a total of 21 hypermarkets in the central region in 14 cities. Throughout the country, it boasts 165 hypermarkets in 75 cities across Russia and 43 supermarkets in Moscow and St. Petersburg.

It also announced on Friday that it had achieved its target of doubling its selling space before its end of 2016 goal. At the current count, Lenta has 1,019,968 square metres.
