Retailer Lidl Italia has received the Positive Business Award in the categories innovation, repositioning and social network.

The prestigious award, created by the Palo Alto School, the main non-academic Italian business school, is dedicated to companies, entrepreneurs and managers who understand how success "can be built starting from the happiness of the people".

The merits recognized to Lidl Italia are "360° development of the commercial structure, human resources and communication strategy that led to the successful repositioning of the brand". From the social networking aspect, it has been awarded for its Facebook page "that has more than one million fans and is one of the most popular social pages in Italy".

Lidl has been present in Italy since 1991, where it has over 570 stores, more than 11,000 employees and 10 distribution centers.
