O’KEY Group Opens New Hypermarket In Siberia

Russia’s O’KEY Group has announced the opening of a new hypermarket in Tyumen, in Siberia, which is the group’s 73rd in Russia and 159th store in total.

The store is around 8,000 square metres in size, and features parking for up to 416 cars.

O’KEY Group previously opened two hypermarkets in the town, however this new store features a new in-store concept and merchandising, that was only previously seen at outlets in Moscow and St Petersburg.

“Tyumen offers considerable opportunities to O’KEY as the city keeps a high level of consumption and demand for high quality food products and the local residents are sensitive to the customer service level in stores,” said Heigo Kera, the group’s chief executive.

“The region is among the leaders by the size of capital invested in the food production industry. This allows us to offer high-demand goods manufactured in the Tyumen Region with the lowest logistics burden.”
