Leading Mexican food brand Old El Paso has said that it will release its line of snacking crisps or ‘mini-panadillas’, Nachips, in French supermarkets, adding five SKUs to its portfolio there.
The featured flavours are original, chilli, fajita, cheese, and sour cream & onion. The company has planned a large publicity blitz in France to boost their presence for 2017, according to LSA.fr.
The marketing manager for the brand in France, Sophie Duseigneur, said that its “packaging has been improved,” and that it has “worked on a new method which makes the product crunchier, and reinforces its taste of corn.”
More Mexican food SKUs are scheduled for release next year. The category grew in France by 7.1% over the year finishing October 2016, according to Nielsen.
