Quintessential Brands Makes Cider Investment
UK drinks firm Quintessential Brands has announced that it is to acquire a 33% stake in Northern Ireland-based Tempted Irish Cider, The Sunday Times has reported.
The deal includes an option to increase the stake to 50%, and follows the recent purchase of a 33% stake in Clanconnel Brewing company, an Irish ale manufacturer.
Tempted Irish Cider is based in Lisburn, Co. Antrim, and is operated by Davy Uprichard and his family. Following the deal with Quintessential Brands, its range of ciders will be rolled out in the UK and internationally.
The paper reported Quintessential chief executive Warren Scott sass saying that the acquisition will complement the group's portfolio of "niche, premium brands".
