Russia's Dixy Group Updates Supplier Contracts

Russian retailer Dixy Group has started to revise its contracts with suppliers, to comply with new Russian legislation which favours net-price based operations. Over two thirds of the group’s key contracts with suppliers, mainly agricultural enterprises and manufacturers, have been amended so far.

The new contract forms are freely accessible through the Dixy Group’s website, which also provides information regarding quality standards, competition requirements and tender procedure.

"In accordance with the controlling agencies' directions, new contracts have been drafted, to comply with recommendations from the Federal Anti-Monopoly Service. By 1 January 2017, the new legislation will affect all suppliers across the three divisions - Dixy, Victoria and Megamart," a Dixy Group spokesperson said in December.

The Dixy Group is a leading Russian retailer of foods and goods. The group currently operates 2,779 stores and hypermarkets across central and northwestern Russia, in the Volga and Urals districts and in the Kaliningrad region.
