Smurfit Kappa Wins Two POPAI Awards

Smurfit Kappa has been rewarded for its point-of-purchase marketing efforts by winning two POPAI awards at a ceremony in Düsseldorf, Germany.

The packaging giant saw off competition from more than 60 entries spread across a myriad of categories, with those nominated for awards exhibited at the EuroCIS 2016, the leading trade fair for retail technology.

Smurfit Kappa was named as winner in the Beverage and Tobacco category, for its display for Campari's Skyy Vodka brand, as well as in the Beauty and Fragrance’ category, for a display for Philips' Visapure brand.

“Once again Smurfit Kappa has demonstrated the company's relentless drive to innovate," said Erik Bunge, CEO Smurfit Kappa Benelux.

"We excel at developing designs that address the motivation of the end consumer, ‘from the shelf backward’. Everyday we explore what will appeal to the consumer and help our customers’ sell their products.”
