Sud de France Brand Extends To Include ‘Occitanie’ Wine

Wine body Sud de France has announced that SKUs from the so-called Occitanie – the Languedoc-Roussillon area conjoined with the Midi-Pyrénées – will now be part of its brand portfolio.

The revision of the portfolio coincided with the group’s centenary, according to TheDrinksBusiness.com. All Languedoc-Roussillon wines, and about three-quarters of the wines from the Midi-Pyrénées, can now bear its brand logo.

Isabelle Kanaan, executive director of Sud de France in the UK, said, “The extension of the Sud de France brand to include products from the new region Occitanie is very exciting news.”

“Both Languedoc-Roussillon and Midi-Pyrénées regions are very complementary,” she added, “and their combined strength means that Occitanie is now the largest region in France for wine, agriculture and organic agriculture, with the Sud de France brand providing one easy point of access to it all.”

As of July of this year, food SKUs have also begun to appear as Sud de France products.
