WITRON Posts Turnover Of €350m In 2014

WITRON Logistik + Informatik GmbH has posted a turnover of €350 million in 2014, growth of more than 30% since the previous year.

The Parkstein, Germany-based business also increased its number of employees to 2,300, having created jobs both nationally and internationally.

WITRON's subsidiary FAS (Foerder Anlagen Systeme) also announced favorable growth numbers.

Since 1971, WITRON has been on a a constant growth path year after year, and 2014 was no exception. The order books of all company sectors were filled, and new projects in Europe and North America ensured a high level of capacity utilization.

More than 40 percent of the company’s revenue was achieved in the US and Canada. The remainder was generated in Europe. WITRON's sales focus continues to be existing markets, in which Scandinavia and France are enjoying very strong growth.

WITRON's multi-channel solutions, such as the FMC (food retail) and OFS (non-food) systems, which enable clients to supply to both, brick and mortar stores as well as e-commerce customers (home delivery / Drive / click & collect) from one integrated system, have gained attention across the logistics industry.

In addition, just recently, WITRON presented the fully-automated BOS system to the public. This systems enables cost-efficient handling of whole totes, cartons, and beverage crates.
