Albert Heijn To Introduce Home Delivery Of Groceries In Belgium

Albert Heijn has announced plans to launch a home delivery service for groceries in Belgium in the spring of this year.

The Antwerp region will be the first to experience the home delivery service, followed by expansion in other regions of the country.

General manager of Albert Heijn Belgium, Raf Van den Heuvel, commented, "Delivering at home reinforces Albert Heijn's proposition in Belgium. We are ambitious in our growth - we want to achieve this through the opening of strong new stores and the expansion of our online offering."

Customer-Oriented Service

The retailer has also added a new feature on its website (www.ah.be) that allows customers to indicate their areas of preference for home delivery.

It will add new areas to its home delivery network based on the response from customers, the retailer said.

Van den Heuvel explained, "We are further expanding our shopping service with feedback and input from the customer. That's how we grew in our physical stores, that's how we will do it for home deliveries."

Recently, Albert Heijn opened its 50th store in the country, which also offers pick-up services for online orders.
