Aldi Netherlands Stocks Coca-Cola

Aldi stores in the Netherlands is now selling Coca-Cola just three months after it began selling Fanta, Coca-Cola, and Sprite in its German stores.

As of last week, Aldi stores in the Netherlands will now stock two litre bottles of regular, light and zero Coca-Cola. "We want to be where the consumer is, therefore, at Aldi,” said Jaap Wassnick, retail sales director, Coca-Cola Netherlands. While Aldi is known for mainly featuring its extensive range of own label products, rival Lidl has been stocking A-brands such as Coca-Cola,Heinz, Cadbury and Weetabix. “Too many shoppers grew tired of having to visit several supermarket for the desired groceries. Aldi is now updating its supply,” discount expert Matthias Queck told the press. (12 Dec)
