Anuga 2019 To Host Second E-Grocery Congress
Online food trade is a booming sector that offers numerous opportunities and presents its own set of challenges.
Industry experts will discuss future-oriented solutions and global opportunities within the online food trade at the second edition of the E-Grocery Congress @ Anuga 2019, under the theme Driving Online Grocery Forward: Strategies, Trends & Game Changers.
The event will offer decision-makers in the sector an opportunity to understand different digital strategies and assess the possibility of implementing them in their businesses.
It will also highlight best practice examples and current trends through graphical presentations and act as a platform for strategic networking with international industry experts.
The congress is scheduled for 8 October 2019, from 10:00am onwards, in the Congress Centre North at Koelnmesse.

Speakers include, among others, Nader Amiri, founder and CEO of el Grocer; Penny Cox, SVP of Regional Supermarket Lazada/Alibaba group; Siddharth Nambiar, director at Amazon Prime Now; Parekh Vipul, co-founder of Indian online food company BigBasket; Zina Mavroeidi, managing director, E-fresh.gr, and David Ochmann, chief commercial officer of Migros-owned LeShop.
The event will be anchored by Louise Houghton, US-based broadcast journalist, TV and live events host, and producer.
The congress aims to attract decision-makers from the international food trade and industry, platform providers, start-ups and interest groups from the food industry and logistics.
The forum is open to digital strategists in the sector as well as experts in e-commerce, omnichannel management, online marketing, purchasing, and logistics.

Anuga is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2019 – a remarkable sign of its long-term support for the industry.
The first Anuga took place in Stuttgart in 1919 and saw the participation of around 200 German firms.
