Britvic Sees 'Solid Performance' In Q3 Despite Challenges In France, Ireland
British soft drinks company Britvic plc has reported a 1.5% year-on-year decline in third-quarter revenue to £360.1 million (€403.8 million).
Commenting on its results, Britvic chief executive, Simon Litherland, said, "Overall we have delivered a solid performance against a more challenging backdrop in quarter three."
In Great Britain, the company witnessed growth in revenue despite a decline in value and volume.
However, its performance in France and Ireland remained more challenging, with a further softening since the half-year, it said.
The company reported 'solid revenue growth' in international markets, particularly Brazil.
Litherland added, "We remain confident of achieving market expectations for the full year, underpinned by the strength of our brand portfolio, exciting commercial plans and a tight focus on cost control."
In the first quarter, the beverage maker saw a 4.5% revenue growth to £352.4 million, driven by sales of low sugar and fruit-based beverages.
