Coca-Cola To Invest €30m In New Production Line In Mannheim

Coca-Cola European Partners Germany is investing around €30 million in 2019 in a new glass production line in Mannheim, according to rundschau.de.

The new production line is expected to commence operations in the autumn of this year.

Production Capacity

The new glass returnable system has the capacity of processing up to 60,000 bottles per hour.

It will fill carbonated drinks in returnable glass bottles for supply to the Mannheim region in southwestern Germany.

Coca-Cola, Fanta, Sprite and Mezzo Mix, as well as the sugar-free versions of each, will be packaged in 0.2 litre, 0.33 litre and 0.5-litre glass bottles at the facility.

In 2018, around 22 million crates of drinks were bottled in the Mannheim factory.
