Coop Denmark Launches Campaign To Promote Eco-Friendly Eating Habits

Coop Denmark has launched a campaign to encourage consumers to adopt climate-friendly eating habits.

As part of the campaign, Kvickly, SuperBrugsen, Dagli´Brugsen stores will distribute 500,000 free posters to encourage Danes to buy eco-friendly food.

Coop CSR director, Signe D. Frese, said, "For many Danes, the climate struggle can be difficult to relate to on a personal level.

"But in our daily food consumption, we can make a huge difference [...] by eating more vegetables, a little less meat, and avoiding food waste."

Food Pyramid

The iconic Food Pyramid, launched by FDB (Coop) in 1976, has been redesigned for the campaign. It was originally designed to show Danes how to eat a healthy and balanced meal.

Coop's stores will also offer customers several specific climate advice.

Climate Strategy

The campaign is part of its overall climate strategy that includes measures to reduce food waste and energy consumption in stores.

It also involves phasing out harmful refrigerants and formulating a comprehensive packaging strategy.
