Italian luxury fashion brand Dolce & Gabbana has launched a limited edition branded pasta range for the Christmas season.
The product launch is the result of a partnership with renowned Italian pasta manufacturer Pastificio di Martino, which produces PGI Gragnano Pasta in Sicily by mixing Italian durum wheat semolina with spring water from the Lattari Mountains.
Those that cannot afford the brand’s expensive fashion items now have the opportunity of purchasing, for a not-insignificant sum of €110, a metal box that includes several types of pasta, including spaghetti, penne and paccheri, as well as a D&G apron.
A limited run of 5,000 metal boxes have been produced. Each features a Mediterranean design by D&G, that celebrates Italian heritage through a combination of colours, symbols and monuments.
A promotional video to commemorate the launch has also been developed by the fashion brand.
