ElPozo Expects To Make 40 Per Cent Of Its Income Through Exports

ElPozo Alimentación (Grupo Fuertes) is working on a five year plan to derive 40 per cent of its income through exports.

As reported on the Spanish website efeagro.com, the company is looking to internationalise its production, reaching agreements with producers in other countries, as the group has done before in Russia.

Tomás Fuertes, President of Grupo Fuertes, says that approximately 16 per cent of the company's current sales come from exports to over 80 countries.

ElPozo Alimentación grew its foreign sales by 27.8 per cent in 2015, reaching sales for €145 million.

In Russia, the company previously signed an agreement with Tambovskaia Indeka, in which both business are working together to manage a company dedicated to the processing and commercialisation of turkey meat.
