Regional Italian Retailers Unveil E-Commerce Services

Four regional grocery retail chains in Italy have teamed up with ReStore, a retail technology company, to launch e-commerce services for customers.

ReStore has developed the NonPesa.it app for the Ischia Supermercati (Dok group), which operates in southern Italy.

The app offers a click-and-collect service, where customers can select products directly from their smartphones, and choose the mode of delivery.
It offers pick-up service in stores as well as free-of-charge home delivery.

The service is available in the Flegrean islands of Ischia and Procida, the city of Naples and the entire province, as well as numerous ports in the Campania hinterland.

Naples-based Flor do Cafè also contracted ReStore for setting up its e-commerce platform shop.flordocafe.it.

Initially, customers in the areas of Fuorigrotta/Bagnoli, Mergellina, Chiaia, and Posillipo can order from the site.

The retailer has introduced free home delivery for orders equal to or higher than €50. It also plans to launch an app for grocery shopping through smartphones.

Online Shopping Service

Bari-based Gm Supermercati, a supermarket chain associated with Auchan-franchise, Gruppo Apulia Distribuzione, has also rolled out an online shopping service with ReStore as its technology partner.

It offers a click-and-collect service in six outlets in the Puglia region, while three stores also provide home delivery.

Easy-To-Use App

Finally, Sardinia-based retailer Gruppo Isa also teamed up with ReStore to launch the Nonna Isa app - an intuitive, easy-to-use interface that allows users to view and select products directly from their smartphones.

Customers have the option to pick-up their orders from the store or avail free home delivery from participating stores.

The app also allows customers to scan barcodes of products with their phone cameras. Its click-and-collect service is available in Iglesias, Alghero, Oristano, and Sorso, while in the urban areas of Cagliari, Sassari and Olbia customers can benefit from the options of collection and delivery at home.
