French poultry processor Groupe Doux has received a sum of capital which is to be invested in modernising its domestic sites.
The food-processing firm will be the recipient of €5 million from Le Banque Publique d’investissement – an industrial development organisation.
The facilities which will undergo modernisation are all located in France, though much of the company's output is exported to outside the European Union.
Of the nine production sites Doux operates in France, eight will benefit directly from the financial injection. These include slaughterhouses, hatcheries, and processing units.
In 2014, the firm employed over 2,200 people.
