Maggi Zart Gebraten, an innovative product that cooks meat in a range of flavoured papers, has won the 'World Tour By SIAL' award at the SIAL trade fair in Paris.
The product, which is produced by Nestlé, was selected by a jury of 28 journalists around the world as the product that best demonstrates food product innovation.
Second prize at the annual event was presented to Drop Of Freshness, an innovative soy-sauce product that automatically reseals after use, while third prize was presented to Gourmet Africa, which produces a range of ready-to-eat soups and sauces based on traditional African ingredients.
The prizes were presented by Nicolas Trentesaux, director, SIAL Group, at a ceremony earlier this afternoon.
A total of 6,300 exhibitors are present at SIAL 2014, which takes place at the Parc des Expositions de Paris Nord Villepinte and runs until Thursday.
