Expoalimentaria, the most important food fair in Latin America, is underway in Peru and has transformed the place into the food capital of the world.

The first edition of the fair generated business amounting to US$25 million, and last year's edition generated US$ 800 million, setting high expectations for this year's edition.

On Thursday (26 September), the Pavilion of Cocoa and Peruvian Coffee for the world will be inaugurated. It will see the participation of Devida and allied institutions such as USAID, Technoserve and the Pisco Salon.

Local bartenders, convened by Conapisco, will prepare original cocktails using Peruvian fruits and herbs.

In the Tasting Room, there will be conferences with the best tasters and experts in the sector.

There will be a competition for the best stand along with a dedicated area for Food Trucks and Take & Go.

The keynote lectures, given by Peruvian and foreign specialists, will focus on three main areas: sustainability and fair trade, technology and innovation, and markets and trends.
