Procter & Gamble Develop Resource-Saving Laundry Solution For Hotels

American multinational Procter & Gamble has developed an award-winning, resource-saving laundry system, which enables hotels using on-premise laundry facilities to reduce the use of water by up to 40% and save up to 75% energy in heating water.

The ‘Tide Professional Coldwater System’ uses a formula that combines a near-neutral pH cold water detergent, fabric softener and whiteness enhancers with selected enzymes, which are designed to break down stains effectively in lower water temperatures.

"All of our customers, no matter where they operate, can benefit from on-premise laundry solutions that reduce the water and energy needed to effectively clean their linens and towels", Procter & Gamble said.

According to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), on-premise laundry operations account for 16 percent of a hotel’s water usage and require significant energy resources.
