Purple Patch For Bonduelle

Bonduelle, the French maker of processed vegetables, has just broken its own record for turnover.

The company, formed in 1853 in Marquette-lez-Lille, has hit the billion-euro mark for the first time for the first half of the 2014-15 business year. It posted turnover for the period of €1.019 billion, up 3.1 per cent on H1 of the 2013-14 commercial year.

The firms's brands Bonduelle and Cassegrain performed outstandingly in the eurozone, while sales in the United States and Russia were also very strong.

At home in Europe (the market which accounts for 63 per cent of the company's global turnover), sales volumes were up by a percentage point.
