Kotinos 2018, which recognises the best branded extra virgin olive oils, was held yesterday, Sunday 11 March, at Food Expo Greece.
The winners in the three major categories were as follows:
- PDO and PDI extra virgin olive oil: Robust Mythocia - Papadopoulos Konstantinos & Co (PGI Opympia); Terra Zakros - Nikolaos Ailamakis & Co (PDO Sitia Lasithiou Kritis)
- Organic extra virgin olive oil: Robust Olvia - Geortzis Michail ; Sacrum Donum - Anopaea Organic Estate
- Non-organic extra virgin olive oil: Robust Vasilis Delivasilis - Vasilis Delivasilis; Sapfo - Charalamps Papadelis; Kyklopas Estates - Kyklopas Olive Mill Argiris Kelidis SA; Yanni’s Finest - Yannis Olive Grove
Food Expo Greece is the leading food and beverage exhibition in southeastern Europe, and has been growing rapidly over the last five years.
This year's event is the largest yet, with 1,275 exhibitors, 3,500 international visitors, 800 hosted buyers and 70,000 food traders.
