Ahold Delhaize's online platform Bol.com has announced plans to open a branch office in Antwerp in Belgium.
The new office is expected to open in May of this year.
Collaboration With Local Partners
With the opening of the new office, the company said that it will offer better services to around 2,000 Belgian retailers, who sell their products on Bol.com, and create opportunities to collaborate with local partners.
"At Bol.com, two million Belgian consumers are now shopping with us, and we want to serve them as well as possible,” said Sacha Buyck, country manager, Bol.com Belgium.
“We like to do that together with local players, because we believe that cooperation is the key to satisfied customers."
The new office will also create a number of job opportunities including roles such as market managers, partner advisors, and partner specialists.
A Popular Online Retailer
Launched in 1999, bol.com is one of the most popular online retailers in the Netherlands and Belgium.
It has around nine million customers and offers an assortment of 17 million items in over 20 product categories, sourced from more than 20,000 Dutch and Belgian retailers.
