Albert Heijn Celebrates Christmas Fair Success

A successful second edition of the Allerhande Christmas Festival put on by Dutch retailer Albert Heijn attracted over 36,000 visitors, who gave the event a rating of eight marks out of ten.

The three-day event, which took place over the weekend of 9 December at the Railway Museum in Utrecht, presented a variety of entertainment and things to taste and experience for the Christmas season.

To create a festive atmosphere at the 7,000 square metre location, 220 christmas trees, 5,000 LED bulbs and 100,000 Christmas lights were installed.

Providing musical entertainment and Christmas spirit, the event had 115 stands and 150 vendors, presenting traditional and exotic foods, snacks and drinks - promoting Albert Heijn's assortment on offer and inspiring visitors with ideas for the Christmas holidays.

Demonstrations and around 80 workshops each day further inspired visitors to try their hand at cooking or making pastry, assisted by professional chefs with ideas and advice. A workshop for children, found at the 'Kids’ Corner' practically turned into a production line, with 450 snowmen created in three days.
