Discounter Aldi continues its expansion in Madrid with the opening of its first shop in the municipality of Alarcón, the third store to open in a week in the Spanish capital.

Aldi now operates a total of 27 outlets in the city.

The mayor of Alarcón, David Pérez, praised Aldi's "commitment to job creation" and pointed out that the new opening has created 30 new jobs, according to ecodiario.eleconomista.es.

The new store is located at Av. Del Pinar with 1,200 square metres of selling space, 90 parking spots and over 1,500 products including fresh produce and other items.
