Amazon Fresh Extends Grocery Service To Hamburg
Online retailer Amazon has announced that it is extending the AmazonFresh grocery service to parts of the German city of Hamburg, with over 300,000 products now available.
The service allows Amazon Prime customers to complete their weekly shopping online. Customers can place an order before 10pm and receive it the next day during a selected two-hour delivery window.
In addition, if customers place an order before 10.30am, a selected range of more than 13,000 products can be delivered on the same day. Purchases can also be delivered to a secure place if the customer is unable to accept them in person.
The AmazonFresh range now includes more than 300,000 products, with 200,000 non-food items having been added in the past few weeks. Among the food items on offer are branded products, gluten- and lactose-free items, as well as private label products.
“The start of AmazonFresh in parts of Hamburg marks an important step on our way to give as many Prime customers as possible access to our service,” said Florian Baumgartner, head of online service at AmazonFresh Germany.
“Since the launch of AmazonFresh in May, we have been continuously expanding our product range. We want to further develop our service and are confident that it will be available in all of Hamburg very soon”.
AmazonFresh was launched in Germany in May 2017, but food and beverages have been available on Amazon.de since 2010. The range of products available has been continuously expanded.
