Auchan’s Salades Océan Pulled From Luxembourg Shelves

Luxembourg’s Food Safety Department has ordered Auchan to remove its private label SKU Salades Océan from its supermarkets over fears of listeria traces in certain products.

Products with use-by dates of up to 10 October (as well as far back as 21 July) may have been contaminated, according to the Luxemburger Wort. These feature the batch numbers FR13 018 005CE and FR45 082 004CE.

Symptoms of infection – which include abdominal cramps and vomiting, among others – sometimes manifest about eight weeks after the contaminated food is consumed. Those with immune-system issues, pregnant women and the elderly are at risk in particular.

Auchan is offering refunds for the SKUs.
