Bakkavor Reports Revenue Increase For The Second Quarter Of 2016

Food manufacturing company Bakkavor Group UK has reported revenue of £438.7 million for the second quarter of 2016, an increase of 3.2%, compared with the same period in the previous year.

Commenting on the results, Agust Gudmundsson, chief executive officer, said, "I am pleased to report another excellent set of results for the group, with both strong revenue and EBITDA growth across our businesses. Although the UK is entering a period of some economic uncertainty, following the recent EU referendum, we believe we are well placed to manage the challenges that may lie ahead."

Bakkavor Group, which has its headquarters in Iceland, is the UK’s leading manufacturer of private-label prepared foods and specialty ranges of fresh produce. The group sees innovation as the foundation of its position. It has recently opened a new 'central development kitchen', where chefs develop and create new dishes and introduce the latest food trends to the company's customers.
