Global Non-Alcoholic Beer Market To Hit €25bn By 2027

The global market for non-alcoholic beers is scheduled to grow at a positive CAGR of 7% between 2019 and 2027, according to new data from market research firm Fact.MR.

By the end of the forecast period, the non-alcoholic beers market will be worth more than $28 billion (€25.4 billion), it said.

The launch of new variants, as well as flavoured varieties, is renewing interest in the non-alcoholic beer category, which has seen growth in recent years due to rising consumer awareness about a healthy lifestyle, said Fact.MR.

Millennial Segment

'The non-alcoholic beer market is receiving impetus from the millennial segment of the population and their willingness to experiment with newer flavours in mixed beers beverages,' it said. 'Growing interest among consumers in ethically and organically sourced products also provides opportunities for ethically traded non-alcoholic beers.'

The 'real dollar opportunity' for non-alcoholic beverages, meanwhile, lies in developing markets, which are 'opportunity hotbeds' for manufacturers in the sector.

Global sales of non-alcoholic beers and alcohol-free mixed beers beverages totalled more than 4 billion litres last year in volume terms, with the US accounting for one fifth of global sales, and Germany leading the way in Europe.

Asia Pacific is expected to show the most growth over the forecast period, according to Fact.MR, with a CAGR of 9.5% between 2019 and 2027.
