Biedronka Announces Change In Remuneration System

Polish supermarket chain Biedronka has announced that it has revised its rules for the payment of performance bonuses, and rewards for the absence of unplanned leaves, effective 1 January 2019.

The retailer will now roll out monthly bonuses in place of the quarterly performance bonus.

The rules for calculating the bonus will also be modified, and will be applicable to a majority of Biedronka employees.

Building a positive customer shopping experience will be one of the criteria for determining the bonus.

Unplanned Leaves

Employees of Biedronka chain stores, distribution centres, and Zupa Factory will receive 100% of the reward in the absence of any unplanned leaves in a given month.

They will receive 75% of the reward for one justified unplanned leave, and 50% for two unplanned leaves each month.

The new policy will enable the retailer to roll out the rewards to more employees, the company said.

The retail group has also adjusted the basic salaries of employees to match the national minimum wage rate.

Jeronimo Martins Polska is the largest private recruiter in Poland, with more than 65,000 employees.
