Biedronka Expands goBIO Product Range

Polish supermarket chain Biedronka has announced that it has extended its range of goBIO organic products.

The retailer said that more than 60 goBIO SKUs are now available to shoppers, following the addition of 40 new product lines.

In addition, on this Saturday, 9 June, customers will be able to avail of a 20% discount when they purchase any two goBIO products.

Popular products in the product range include organic yoghurt, cheese and milk.

Organic And Responsible

Michał Gontarz, purchasing director for private labels, including the goBIO line, at Biedronka, said, “Our customer’s choices have proven that goBIO is going in the right direction. Not only do we want to offer organic and tasty products, but we also want to guarantee that they have been made with respect for the environment and according to [the] principles of responsible animal husbandry.

“This category is still young, however. We are trying to popularise it and show that it is not all about luxury and expensive products. Thanks to the goBIO range, available in over 2,820 Biedronka stores, organic and tasty food is available to everyone,” added Gontarz.

Biedronka ensures that all products in the goBIO range are packaged in environmentally friendly materials.

‘Thanks to the commitment of suppliers, there is already a large range of goBIO products sold in eco-friendly packaging, such as non-PVC film, which can be easily recycled, as well as on paper trays,’ a company statement read.

The goBIO products are available in all Biedronka stores, but the range may vary, depending on the location.
