Austria's Billa Expands Point of Sale Services For Shoppers

Austrian retailer Billa has announced that it is introducing new point of sale services in its stores to benefit customers.

The retailer will introduce a DHL package shop in 700 Billa stores, where customers can collect and send packages during the supermarket's opening hours.

Cash 2 Go

There will also be a 'Cash 2 Go' service implemented in all 1,050 stores, where customers can withdraw up to €100 at the checkout, without incurring additional charges, when they make a purchase by debit card.

"Our goal is clear: when it comes to the best possible supply of Austrian households, we want to be the most reliable and attractive contact person. The continuous development of our services at the POS is an essential element," said Josef Siess, Billa chief executive.

Billa is part of Germany's Rewe Group.
