Biocoop Presents 'Vision Of Society' To President Macron

French retailer Biocoop has presented a set of twenty one proposals for a more responsible society to President Emmanuel Macron.

On the occasion of the presidential election, Biocoop created its own 'vision of society' with a campaign entitled 'Pour une France des heros ordinaires' (for a France of ordinary heroes).

Created by advertising agency Hungry and Foolish, the campaign ended with the delivery of a white paper to Emmanuel Macron two weeks after his inauguration.

Biocoop's campaign featured 21 proposals, which included reducing VAT on organic products, and stopping the use of pesticides and chemical fertilisers.

According to the retailer, the proposals are all resulting from a collective reflection with the French citizens. Over 1,670 ideas were submitted by the public, 1016 were validated, and 21 were selected for the campaign.

'Our proposals, in line with our strategy, relate to the more responsible model of society, sustainable agriculture, consumption, trade and economy in general,' said Claude Gruffat, CEO of Biocoop.
