Carrefour Belgium has announced that Pierre Leman has been appointed human resources director at the group, effective 7 January, 2019.
He will be in charge of defining and implementing the HR aspects of the Belgian distributor's strategic plan, and will take the role of Carrefour Belgium's human resources 'to a higher level', the company said.
Leman will report to Guillaume de Colonges, chief executive of the Carrefour Group's North and East Europe zone, and will join Carrefour Belgium's executive committee.
Prior to joining Carrefour Belgium, he held the position of human resources head pharma and country HR head of Novartis in Belgium since 2012.
Pierre Leman will replace Sonia Frey, who left the company in July of this year.
