Carrefour France Reaches Supply Deal With Supergroup

The central buying office of Carrefour France has reached a negotiation and supply deal with Supergroup, a subsidiary of leading Southern European distributor Logista, according to LSA-Conso.fr.

The distributor and wholesaler, which offers more than 10,000 SKUs, describes itself as a ‘market leader in the distribution of convenience products to proximity retailers in France', including grocery stores, petrol stations, bakeries, and vending-machine operators.

Among its extensive product portfolio are food and drink SKUs, as well as sweets, stationery and phone products.

The agreement reached with Europe’s largest hypermarket chain affords Supergroup ‘competitive conditions’.

Through a separate buying agreement last year, Carrefour and fellow hypermarket chain Cora commenced selling each other’s private-label products in their respective stores.
