Carrefour Italia has appointed Stéphane Coum as its new director of operations, succeeding Eric Uzan.
In September, Uzan was promoted to the role of executive director for Southern Europe, in charge of Spain and Italy, as part of Carrefour's new group executive committee.
His replacement, Coum, joined the retail group in 1996 and has served as director of supermarkets for Carrefour Italia since 2013. Prior to this, he held a number of positions in China, Malaysia, Singapore and Turkey.
Carrefour operates more than 1,000 stores of various formats across Italy, with over 20,000 employees.
