Carrefour and Coopérative U Enseigne have announced the extension of their purchasing partnership, Envergure, for a five-year period.

The partnership is responsible for negotiating terms and conditions with major national and international brands, with some 70 suppliers involved.

The partnership mainly focuses on food suppliers, however, there are also a few non-food suppliers participating.

Simplify Purchasing

According to Carrefour, Envergure ‘puts forward and negotiates business plans for Carrefour, U Enseigne and Provera, the aim being to simplify purchasing and share information, speeding up the decision-making process and supporting implementation’.

Based in Antony, south of Paris, Envergure is co-managed by CEO Stephane Vaudoit and managing director Bruno Cazorla and boasts four purchasing managers: Bruno Flouzat, who has responsibility for grocery products, Guillaume Durand, with responsibility for perishables/fresh self-service products, Didier Deverchere, with responsibility for liquids, and Martial Ferrandis, with responsibility for household and personal-care products/non-foods.
