Co-op Announces Partnership With Glastonbury Music Festival

UK retailer The Co-operative has announced a partnership with the Glastonbury music festival that will see the group open a pop-up store on the festival site.

The partnership will see The Co-op offer a wide range of food and beverages, including sandwiches, water, bacon, eggs and bread alongside the obligatory sun cream and rain ponchos, to the 175,000 or so attendees at the festival, which runs from 26 to 30 June.

As well as the temporary store, the retailer used the announcement to launch plans to open a new store in the village of Pilton, adjacent to the festival site, subject to planning permission.

Festival Stores

“This is such an exciting and unique opportunity to build on our expertise of running festival stores and work with a partner to bring to life our shared values,” said Amanda Jennings, director of marketing live and local at The Co-operative.

“Glastonbury is the ultimate live music festival and we can’t wait to welcome existing and new customers, young and old to our pop up shop.”
