Coop Danmark has announced that its executive vice president, Gregers Wedell-Wedellsborg, is leaving the company to become the new managing director of Danish drug store chain Matas.
Wedell-Wedellsborg, who has worked at the retail company for five years, will assume his new position on 1 November 2017.
He joined Coop in 2012 as internet director, and has been part of Coop's corporate management team since 2014, most recently in charge of Irma and Coop properties.
"I am pleased to have taken part in the great and necessary changes that Coop has undergone under Peter Høgsted's leadership," said Wedell-Wedellsborg. "It has been extraordinarily instructive and deeply inspiring."
