Coop de France Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes Names Dumas As President

Agricultural cooperative group Coop de France Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes has announced that its board of directors has elected Patrice Dumas as its new president.

Dumas intends to continue the work of Coop de France to ‘promote the values of the cooperative model, to defend the competitiveness of companies, to encourage value creation and to affirm the position of cooperatives in the agri-food industry’.

Economic Organisation

"Coop de France Rhône Alpes Auvergne must pursue its trade union and cooperative services to strengthen the economic organisation of the sectors and the response to societal expectations, with a view to ensuring sustainable remuneration for cooperative farmers," said Dumas.

"One of the priorities for this must be the professionalisation of elected representatives of cooperatives."

Dumas replaces Gérard Rodange, who served as president of the company for four years. He announced his retirement at the previous AGM.
