Coop Italia Sets Up Crisis Committee For Coronavirus Emergency

Coop Italia has set up a crisis committee to implement appropriate measures in line with government guidelines to tackle the coronavirus emergency in the country.

The retailer aims to function smoothly in this period while ensuring the safety of its employees.

It has introduced several precautionary measures for employees in stores, which include access restrictions if necessary, and a safety distance of one metre.

All Coop stores will remain open and operate regularly, the retailer said.

The retailer has invited customers to shop in its supermarkets at hours when the footfall is low.

Its warehouses are operating at full speed to maintain the supply of goods and there is no need for customers to stockpile, it added.
