Coca-Cola Creates New Business Unit In Europe

Coca-Cola has combined its Western Europe and Central and Eastern Europe divisions to create a new business unit in Europe.

The move is part of the cola giant's strategic transformation plan to accelerate growth after the pandemic.

The new Europe division, officially in place since 2 April, is headed by Nikos Koumettis and covers more than 40 countries, from Great Britain to Russia.

Elsewhere, the Coca-Cola Company's bottling partner in Western Europe, Coca-Cola European Partners, has expanded its communications division in Germany.

Management Changes

Barbara Körner will serve as the managing director of Coca-Cola Germany alongside Bjorn Jensen, the managing director of Coca-Cola Germany, Denmark and Finland.

He will report to Walter Susini, senior vice-president of marketing in Europe.

The former director of public affairs, communications and sustainability (PACS) for the Central and Eastern European region, Patrick Kammerer, is now director of strategic communications at Coca-Cola Europe, the company said.
