Diageo Announces Retirement Of Non-Executive Director, Ho KwonPing

Spirits giant Diageo has announced that non-executive director, Ho KwonPing, will retire on 28 September 2020.

He joined the company in October 2012 and served as a member of the board's audit, nomination and remuneration committees.

After stepping down from Diageo, KwonPing will focus on his family business and lead it through the aftermath of the COVID-19 pandemic.

'Extensive Business Experience'

Commenting on his departure, Javier Ferrán, chairman of Diageo plc said, “The board has benefited greatly from his extensive business experience, particularly in the Asia Pacific region, as well as his insights into the luxury hospitality and consumer product arenas.

“We thank Ho KwonPing for all he has done for Diageo over the last 8 years and wish him the very best as his business and the world emerge from COVID-19.”
